The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping robots and vacuum combinations. automated vacuum cleaner are a great choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you should select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list, making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.
It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or on baseboards. The front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install, and it works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping you must be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. This leads to a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. They also have a flexible side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.
Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also set the number of passes it must make, which will affect how quickly the device can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.
The device has a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of advanced features. It is important to remember, however, that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. These include the power button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it easy to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise floorplan map that it uses to determine the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your house from being swept with a mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect many of the hair our cats shed, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots have struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some lovely jingles that inform you that it was starting and finishing its work.
Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the requirement to change out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps, which could be a problem when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock, which doubles as a charging base and housing for two water tanks, a sink for cleaning and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start cleaning and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.
The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it is entangled in an obstacle like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its app.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a major change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
